Hi, my name is Elsa and I'm a Yellow American Labrador Retriever. My Birthday is August 9, 2004. My Mom and 7 siblings were taken to the shelter on December 9, 2004. My original owner couldn't give us the time or love we needed. So, a wonderful person named Shayna, of Kim's Pets Rescue picked me up from the shelter. THANKS SHAYNA! :-) My new owner and her family couldn't decide on a name for me. So for 3 days, I was nameless. I went to the Vet on January 18, 2005. He said that I was 28 pounds and that I was very healthy. He also said that I'd probably be about 65 to 75 pounds when I'm done growing. Hey, I'll be almost as big as my new owner! :-) The Vet Tech said since I was nameless, she would call me Dagan (dog ain't got a name). Well, that horrified my new owner, so when she took me home, she watched me closely until the next morning. Then, voila! I was just sitting there looking all cool with my Mohawk sticking up and my fur all bunched up around my neck and my owner said, Hey! She looks like a lion! Let's call her Elsa, from that movie Born Free. I'm so happy they finally named me. I was starting to get a complex! :-( My new sister Sadie isn't too fond of me yet. She doesn't like it when I jump on her when she's sleeping... wonder why that makes her mad? I'm sure she'll get used to me soon, especially if I keep letting her roll me over in the snow. :-) Below are some pictures my new owner has taken of me and Sadie.
