Sadie was abused as a puppy, till she was almost 2 years old, before I was able
to find out about her. She adopted me on March 13, 1996.
Her approximate birthday is August 1994. The Vet told us that she is
a mix between, Doberman, Labrador, Shepherd, and Hound. Seems her
mom was very popular. LOL! She weighs between 50-65 lbs, depending
on the season.
She has the personality of the Lab, the bark of the Doberman, sounds real fierce
(but she's not), the protectiveness of the Shepherd, and the howl of the
Hound.
She had a lot of problems with her ears, as they must have hit her there a
lot. The Vet took out her ear canal, and she is doing so much better now!
To this day, she still has nightmares that I have to wake her
up from, so she won't hyper-ventilate.
Sadie has a personality that just keeps on going... she loves everyone!
That could be bad if a burglar happened in though... LOL!
Sometimes I think she is part "cat" though... for instance, she's laying on the floor
in front of the couch, you call her name to invite her up to sit next to
you. She slowly moves her head around, looks at you like, you must
be nuts, you wanna pet me? Come down here. LOL!
She loves to play with her favorite squished football. We don't even
have to throw it to her, she'll go get it, start shaking it all around
till it flies out of her mouth, then she goes to get it, and the process
starts all over again. LOL!
She loves to go for walks, er... rather, take you for walks. LOL!
She wakes us up at 5a every morning, she doesn't believe in weekends and sleeping
in. She jumps on the bed and licks my hubby square in the face, if
that doesn't get him up (she knows he has to get up for work anyhoo), then
she starts pawing the covers off me. LOL!
She speaks for her supper, (kinda wish we didn't teach her that one) she will
come up to you and howl at precisely 5p every evening!
She has become my shadow, the kids were kind of disappointed because they wanted
her to be "the family dog". She plays with them a lot, but when it
comes to me getting up out of my chair, she's right there by my side.
She has been the best friend I have ever had!

On January 16, 2005 we found a canine friend for Sadie!
